Elizabeth Lake after the rain

As a flock of geese circled overhead looking for a possible early fall departure, this lonely goose seemed determined to wait for the water to rise.  Despite some steady rainfall in the last few days, it can be seen to be a drop in the bucket of what is required to bring Elizabeth Lake up to its modern day normal.  The water level has not yet reached the lowest level of the weir and the creek bed remains dry in parts.  This example must reflect a much bigger picture of the state of our local water resources.
