Hike Directions

We received an anonymous comment expecting directions to be given to some of the hikes we have shown.  Our job is not to provide directions.  Part of the joy of discovering new places to go is to explore and study the plentiful maps of the area.  Janice Strong's Book, 'Mountain Footsteps' provides a very good base of hikes in the area.  If we inspire you to explore more and use your initiative to discover new places, we believe the appreciation will be greater.  Many of the photographs shown on this blog are of places we have discovered and named for ourselves.  We hope others will grow to love, respect and protect our beautiful area the way we try to do.
