Wild Flowers within City Limits

Bladder Campion

If the mosquitoes are getting to you and you just can't face a hike in the woods this weekend, a stroll around town can still provide many fine sights.  The wild roses this year have been magnificent.  While walking by them on street corners or on the edge of town, stop to literally 'smell the roses' and maybe taste a rose petal. Nothing beats the natural perfume of wild roses.  Vetches , clovers, campions and daises of all kinds are in flower in the ditches and waste spaces around town providing plenty of colourful wild flower spotting opportunities.
