Remembrance Day at TM Roberts and Gordon Terrace Schools

Children learn the meaning of Remembrance Day in different ways.  At Gordon Terrace children sang a song composed especially for Remembrance Day, by one of their teachers, Larry Dureski . One class made a video of war memorials across Canada and the photos were linked together with student narrations.  Many students learned the significance of the day through their symbolic artwork and they all showed their respect by attending a special assembly where they listened and performed with impeccable behaviour.

Each class lays a wreath at Gordon Terrace

At TM Roberts children learned the song 'Highway of Heroes' and  had quite a surprise last week thanks to their music teacher Carla Erickson.
