The United Way and You

Why not stop by the United Way tent at the Cranbrook Famers Market tomorrow for a cup of coffee and  a chat!  Last Saturday I got to speak to the Co-Chairs of this years campaign Bill Roberts and Wayne Stetski, as well as volunteer, Shirley.  Wayne Stetski pointed out the United Way is all about building a better community.  All of the money raised by the United Way stays here in Cranbrook/Kimberley to help local people.  From babies to the elderly the United Way supports local agencies.  This year the United Way is hoping to raise $90,000 through various fundraisers, the Kootenay Ice Blue & White game, the contribution of local businesses and from individuals like you.  If you would like to volunteer for the United Way or wanted to find out how you or your business can contribute please contact them at 250-426-8833 or visit their web site at http://www.cranbrook.unitedway.ca/

I am enjoying the CLC blog. In your own way, you are building community and linking us together. Thank you. Keep up the excellent work.
