Why should I buy local food?

The video at the following link demonstrates just one reason for buying local food such as that found at the Saturday Farmer's Market. The fish are Basa (Catfish) and if you buy Basa, you may be interested to learn about how it might be farmed. Much of the fish described in this video ends up in North American supermarkets. http://www.vimeo.com/11817894
