Pat Casey Memorial Garden

This little garden adjacent to City Hall has been made in cooperation with Cranbrook in Bloom and the City of Cranbrook as a Memorial to Pat Casey. Pat Casey was a well-known long-time Cranbrook resident who served the community in many ways including being a member of the Cranbrook in Bloom Committee. The tree a ‘Corinthian’ columnar type Linden, is under-planted with a selection of perennials chosen by City Public Works staff to increase in size, grow and bloom again next spring and summer.  In the photo can be seen Daylilies, Delphiniums, Veronica, Golden Rod, Malva, Bergamot, Phlox and Nepeta.

The Dedication Ceremony for this garden, which should provide much colour and enjoyment in this busy part of the downtown core, will be held in the fall.
