Engineering
Chip Seal Treatments - Suitability for resurfacing 29th Ave. S.
Relatively low cost alternative pavement solution to hot mix asphalt paving under certain conditions. This treatment is ideally suited to 29th Ave. S (as well as 27th Ave. S.) Unfortunately there are no contractors in Cranbrook who provide this type of paving.
2013 Road Program
Phase 3 work on 14th Ave. S. has been tendered and construction start planned for mid June.
Canada Day Costs
Staff have determined that the costs for a basic Canada Day celebration will cost $12150

12.1 Liquor Licensing Boston Pizza - permanent change to its Food Primary Licence to change the hours of sales from 11am to Midnight (M,T,W,&T) and 11am to 1am Friday and Sat.
12.2 Asia Pacific Delegation - To seek a resolution of Council authorizing delegation trip to Wonju and Taicang scheduled for June 2013.
12.3 Famers Market Street Closures - To request Council's approval of street closure on 10th Ave. S. for the purpose of accommodating the Farmer's Market on Saturdays during the summer months.
12.4 Off Line Storm Water Detention Facility - To seek approval to proceed with appropriate engineering studies for use of city owned property on Kootenay Street.
12.5 Mad Max's Go Cart Proposal - To consider the proposal presented by Mad Max's Go Karts regarding leasing a portion of the Western Financial Place parking lot for a go-carting business.

There were 27 completed questionnaires. 22 agreed with the draft sign bylaw regulations and 21 agreed with the draft sign bylaw design guidelines. 5 disagreed with the draft sign bylaw regulations and 4 disagreed with draft sign design guidelines. 2 of the 5 who disagreed with the draft sign bylaw regulations did not support electric signs.
