Citizens for a Livable Cranbrook Society provides grassroots leadership and an inclusive process, with a voice for all community members, to ensure that our community grows and develops in a way that incorporates an environmental ethic, offers a range of housing and transportation choices, encourages a vibrant and cultural life and supports sustainable, meaningful employment and business opportunities.
I guess they had their own problems back in 1900 with class sizes. One teacher was expected to work with 60 children, not forgetting the 50 to 60 who couldn't receive schooling due to overcrowding and only having one teacher for all 125!!
I only hope that their MLA was listening!! It would be interesting to discover what happened as a result of the people's indignation meeting.
