Got an old fridge, freezer?

Exciting news for this Wednesday's One World Garden Workshop, Fresh Beginnings, at the Public Produce Garden!

Rick Metheral will be onsite to share the technique he developed of turning old fridges and freezers into raised garden beds! They are a brilliant invention because they're insulated so plants are extra happy inside them, they turn big pieces of non-compost-able garbage into something useful, they're comfortable to work at standing, and they are the perfect height for wheelchairs.

He is a wealth of local knowledge, and this is a great opportunity to learn directly from him!  Come and discover what the City of Spokane and Seattle learned from Rick (and used this technique to create community gardens of over 200 fridges)!

This workshop is hands-on and will also cover an easy and accessible way of starting a potato patch - 'no dig potatoes', and methods for mulching, seeding, and weeding.

There is a light meal included in this FREE workshop, but registration is required.
