Join compost expert Sonja Seher for a one hour introduction to composting
Participants will learn the basics of home composting for food scraps and yard waste. After our simple hands on workshop, you'll be ready to start composting in your own backyard. Register now to reserve your space.
The first 20 registrants are eligible to purchase a Earth Machine composter at a subsidized rate of $30 (cash or $30.87 via credit card) from the RDEK. We'll have the composters available after the workshop, so be sure to reserve yours when you register. Of course, we'll demonstrate how to use the Earth Machine specifically and other composters at the workshop.
By composting, you can reduce the amount of garbage you send to landfill, reducing the carbon impact of transporting your garbage and reducing the methane produced from decomposition of food waste in the landfill (and methane is a very powerful greenhouse gas).
